WSOP 2012: Danzer wins $140k, just misses bracelet
There were about half a dozen Team PokerStars Pro headlines to comes out of Las Vegas this weekend, but the biggest of them all was George Danzer's near-win at the World Series of Poker.
The man with the scarf finished runner-up to Oleksii Kovalchuk in the $2,500 O8/Stud8 event for more than $140,000. Danzer staged an amazing comeback during heads-up play and nearly won Team Pro's first bracelet of the 2012 WSOP. Instead he was forced to be satisfied with a big brick of cash.
